Message from the Fall Street Faire Event Chair

The Fall Street Faire is a community event second to none in popularity and family-oriented fun in our charming town of Reading.

I am pleased to be back at the helm and realize more than ever it really does take a village to bring an event of this magnitude to fruition. The human resources it takes readying for 200 vendors, entertainers, activities and 15,000 guests is key to its success, and we in Reading are fortunate to have these talented resources.

Committees dedicated to attracting vendors, selling sponsorships, maintaining the website and Facebook pages, helping food vendors with permits, logistics, coordinating a 5K race, printing Tshirts, organizing children’s activities and family entertainment, creating press releases, working with media for advertising to attract thousands of people to the event, signage, interviewing sponsors, writing even this message, working with Town departments,  and things I can’t even think of are coming together in these  weeks before the event.

With the combined efforts of our veteran volunteers and the Reading Rotarians, we are looking forward to bringing you the biggest and best Faire yet. This leads me to again to invite the volunteers, residents and business owners to kick off the Faire to our Once Upon a Time event on the eve of the Faire, September 9, from 6:30-9 pm at Lee Kimball Offices, 606 Main Street. The event is open to the public and tickets are $50 per person and can be purchased on our website fallstreetfaire.com.  Come and join us and celebrate us!
